Spin-1/2 as Topological Holonomy of the 23-Channel Vacuum Network
Abstract
We derive the spin-1/2 property of fermions from the intrinsic topology of the 23-channel vacuum network (𝒱₂₃). The vacuum emerges from the cubic polynomial x³ - x - 1 = 0 via discriminant Δ = -23, generating dodecahedral symmetry (A₅). The 19 transverse torsional modes form a vector bundle over S² with SU(2) structure group. The dodecahedral deficit angle δ₀ = 10.305° produces nontrivial curvature in the torsion connection, yielding holonomy U(2π) = -I for a 360° rotation. Consequently, the wavefunction changes sign under 360° rotation and requires 720° to return to its original state. This explains neutron interferometry results (Rauch et al. 1975) and provides geometric origin for the Pauli exclusion principle without ad hoc quantum postulates.
