Abstract

In this prototype, the cartoon heroes discuss different farming practices and their impact on biodiversity and food security. They express common myths and misconceptions about ecosystems and explore information about sustainable farming. Students are expected to develop arguments related to the validity of the heroes’ statements and organise their knowledge in a concept map. External links can be incorporated to examine how students evaluate the credibility and validity of online information sources, compare conflicting claims, and justify their decisions when integrating information into their concept maps. Additional Information for Educators Students work in groups and discussions are encouraged.
