This article examines the linguistic features of synonyms in Uzbek and English from a comparative perspective. Synonyms play an important role in enriching vocabulary and enhancing expressive and communicative possibilities of language. The study focuses on identifying the semantic, structural, and functional characteristics of synonymous units in both languages. Special attention is given to the classification of synonyms, their contextual usage, and their stylistic and pragmatic functions. The research analyzes similarities and differences in the formation and use of synonyms in Uzbek and English, considering linguistic and cultural factors. The findings demonstrate that although both languages share common semantic principles of synonymy, they also exhibit distinct structural and stylistic features.
