LINGUOCULTURAL AND PRAGMATIC-SEMANTIC ANALYSIS OF BRAND NAMES IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Abstract
This article analyzes the linguocultural and pragmatic-semantic features of brand names in the English language. The research is aimed at identifying the interrelation between brand names and culture, as well as the influence of national stereotypes and cultural codes on the naming process. Special attention is paid to the perception of English brand names in different linguocultural environments, their semantic interpretation, and pragmatic adaptation. Global and local brand names are compared, and the role of linguocultural markers and the significance of localization processes in brand naming are revealed. The research findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the cultural and communicative mechanisms underlying brand naming.
