Abstract

The SCFL Drift Matrix v1.0 is the frozen, canonical representation of drift behavior across multi‑node, multi‑sector, or multi‑layer systems within the Standard Coherence Fidelity Layer (SCFL) measurement discipline. It provides a structured, quantitative map of how drift originates, propagates, amplifies, and synchronizes across seams, enabling early detection of instability and rupture‑layer activation. The matrix formalizes: Node‑level drift scores, computed using SCFL’s three‑channel drift operator (coherence derivative, latent integrity monotonicity, and control‑gradient acceleration) Seam‑level propagation coefficients, capturing how drift transfers between adjacent or functionally coupled nodes Cross‑domain amplification signatures, identifying where drift accelerates due to structural coupling, resource contention, or governance gaps Silent‑window detection, revealing periods where drift is rising but not yet externally visible Rupture‑trajectory indicators, showing when drift patterns converge toward synchronized failure modes A summary‑row output, providing a reviewer‑safe, reproducible snapshot of system‑wide drift behavior The Drift Matrix is a core empirical artifact used in Tier‑3 scanning, Scenario Flux analysis, and comparative invariant testing. All parameters are locked ex‑ante to ensure reproducibility, prevent post‑hoc reinterpretation, and maintain SCFL’s scientific posture. This artifact is frozen as v1.0 for archival and citation.
