Draft Technical Note: Order-of-Magnitude Consistency Test of Temporal Reassignment Effects in Temporal Membrane Theory
Abstract
Temporal Membrane Theory (TMT) proposes that certain large-scale observational discrepancies may be interpreted as systematic reassignment effects in observational time, without modifying spatial geometry or local dynamical laws. In this technical note, we present a minimal order-of-magnitude consistency test of the temporal reassignment effect under a single effective parameter assumption. Without introducing redshift-dependent functions or additional dynamical degrees of freedom, we estimate the effective path-averaged temporal membrane density required to produce apparent gigayear-scale time compression at high redshift (z ≈ 10). We find that the required effective values lie in the range 10⁻²–10⁻¹, remaining finite and non-divergent. We further compare this magnitude with the precision scale implied by strong-lensing time-delay measurements at intermediate redshift (z ≈ 1–3), and find no immediate order-of-magnitude contradiction under conservative assumptions. This analysis does not constitute a full multi-probe cosmological fit. Instead, it serves as a bounded consistency check demonstrating that the temporal reassignment framework operates within a physically natural parameter regime. Further observational constraints and structural modeling are required to determine whether a fully consistent cosmological evolution scenario can be established.
