Abstract

A dark-sector model built from reversible and dissipative dynamics, not new particles. CF11 proposes a derived-limit link from VDM dynamics to cosmology-facing bookkeeping for the dark sector, meaning unseen gravity drivers.Metriplectic means reversible plus dissipative dynamics, and CF11 avoids a hand-split of fields by projecting modes. It uses a mode projector, a filter over linearized behavior, to separate oscillatory bands from relaxational bands. From that split it defines two effective energy-and-pressure components, plus a tracked interaction remainder that must stay small. In controlled regimes, one component behaves vacuum-like and the other behaves dust-like, with clear diagnostics before you claim it.It ends with binary gates for simulations and for cosmology fits, including cone-speed bounds and model-selection rejection. Best for: simulation builders and cosmology readers who want falsifiable alternatives to “add a new particle.” What you can do with it: implement the mode split on a lattice, log the remainder, then test the same split in data fits. What makes it trustworthy: explicit pass-fail gates, tracked error terms, and pre-registrable thresholds for both sim and data. If you only remember one thingCF11 turns dark-sector talk into a gate-checked decomposition you can try to falsify.
