Abstract

A covariant, experimentally anchored route to synthetic magnetic monopoles is developed for theMetaTime One “core + mantle” architecture, updated to the MetaTime v45 geometric paradigmin which electromagnetism is not an independent sector but the off-diagonal connection Aµ of afive-dimensional Kaluza–Klein (KK) metric. In this setting, a monopole is not a hidden particleor portal-induced leakage; it is a purely geometric defect: a nontrivial U(1) fiber bundle (twist)of the KK circle over spatial two-spheres, characterized by an integer Chern number. The scalardegree of freedom required to form and stabilize the defect core is not an ad hoc Higgs field: it isthe KK dilaton/radion φ(x) (the 1 × 1 component of the 5 × 5 metric), which controls the localradius of the compact micro-circle. The absence of natural monopoles is reinterpreted as bulkmechanical rigidity: the 5D medium possesses an intrinsic “latency tension” scale ρL that resistsknotting/twisting the fiber, so stabilizing a defect requires electromagnetic work injection Wdriveexceeding the bulk tension and the dilaton pinch energy. The engineering mechanism is unchanged:a quasi-spherical mantle enforces boundary holonomy consistent with Chern number k = 1, whilethe core drive locally constricts φ to regularize the geometry. Falsifiability is emphasized: (i)quantized net-flux steps during controlled topological transitions, (ii) hysteresis and thresholding innucleation/annihilation, (iii) holonomy/interferometric tests that distinguish genuine bundle topologyfrom dipolar/toroidal artifacts, and (iv) energetic closure demonstrating that any voltage outputarises only during topology-changing protocols (nucleation/transport/holonomy modulation), withno violation of energy conservation.
