APPROACHES TO BUILDING FAULT-TOLERANT DATA TRANSMISSION CHANNELS IN HIGHLOAD SYSTEMS
Abstract
This article analyzes approaches to building fault-tolerant data transmission channels in high-load distributed systems. It examines key requirements for communication infrastructure and considers common risks associated with single points of failure, channel congestion, and network node failures. Special attention is given to redundancy schemes, routing mechanisms, and load balancing techniques. The study analyzes active–active and active–standby configurations, N+1 redundancy models, multipath routing methods, dynamic failover techniques, and flow-control mechanisms. It also describes principles of architecture design and traffic profiling, as well as methods of modeling and load testing.
