Temporal-Object Casting Patterns: Clinical Observations from 15,000+ Therapeutic Hours — A Structured Observational Report on Profile-Specific Drama Dynamics and Hardware-First Treatment Response
Abstract
Paper 13C in the ABM Blueprint Independent Research Series. This paper completes the 13A–13C translational pipeline: theory (13A) → application (13B) → evidence (13C). It reports systematically structured clinical observations of drama casting patterns across the three ABM attachment profiles, organized by casting zone. Observed patterns by profile: Architect (Avoidant) — Temporal Zone primacy confirmed. Pseudo-Drama frequency: 12–20 episodes/day at baseline. Work-as-Rescuer as primary Object casting. Pseudo-Drama vs. strategic planning ratio ~80:20. Radar (Anxious) — Interpersonal Zone primacy confirmed. Four-stage Rescuer→Victim oscillation cycle documented. Food and social media as secondary Object casting with rapid oscillation periods. Special Forces (Disorganized) — Cross-zone oscillation confirmed. Simultaneous dual-role substance casting observed (Rescuer + Persecutor concurrently). Role instability within single episodes consistent with PAG Superposition model. Non-human casting observations: Substance dual-role patterns differ by profile (sequential in Architects, guilt-cycled in Radars, simultaneous in Special Forces) Work-as-Rescuer almost exclusively observed in Architect population Social media demonstrated fastest Rescuer→Persecutor oscillation (minutes) The "3 AM Phenomenon": temporal casting concentrated at cortisol nadir across all profiles Treatment response comparison (hardware-first vs. narrative-first): Hardware-first: casting reduction in 4–8 weeks, preceding insight by 2–4 weeks Narrative-first: casting reduction in 8–16 weeks, required insight first Architect dropout: ~40% narrative-first vs. ~15% hardware-first Spontaneous casting reduction: common in hardware-first, rare in narrative-first Generates 5 testable hypotheses for prospective validation.
