Abstract

Protocol for the scoping review of ethics tools for strengthening ethics review processes within Work Package 2 (WP2) in CHANGER: Evaluation of current ethics reviews in a changing research environment. The scoping review is designed to systematically map scientific literature describing ethics tools, frameworks, and structured methodological approaches intended to support, strengthen, or innovate ethics review processes. The review focuses on tools that facilitate ethical reflection, deliberation, decision‑making, or anticipation of ethical issues in research and innovation contexts. The review follows established methodological guidance for scoping reviews published in Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Review’s Manual (Peters et al, 2015) and aims to provide an overview of the range, characteristics, and conceptual orientations of existing ethics tools.
