Abstract

A cluster of tetrahedra is defined here as a body of connected regular tetrahedra such that they do not overlap and such that adjacent tetrahedra share fully one of their equilateral faces. This work constructs and counts 1, 1, 1, 3, 7, 23, ... free clusters of tetrahedra which are composed of 1, 2, 3, 4, ... tetrahedra; free meaning that clusters equivalent up to translation, rotation and reflections are counted only once.
