ComboNe: Software for optimally combining multiple genetic estimates of Ne
Abstract
ComboNe combines separate genetic estimates of Ne from the temporal and LD methods into a single combo estimate. Because the separate estimates are weighted inversely to their theoretical variances, the combined estimate should maximioze precision -- assuming that both individual methods provide unbiased estimates of true Ne. The general approachh, and a worked example using ComboNe, are described in this paper: Waples, R.S. 2026. Combining multiple genetic estimates of Ne. Mol. Ecol. Res. DOI 10.1111/1755-0998.70114.
