The Role of Forensic Evidence in Securing Convictions
Abstract
Abstract: Forensic evidence has become a cornerstone of modern criminal investigations, acting as a key tool in establishing guilt or innocence. This research study discusses the essential role that forensic science plays in achieving convictions, concentrating on its evidentiary value, reliability, and influence on judicial outcomes. This study elucidates the strengths and limitations of forensic evidence in the criminal justice system through an extensive examination of case studies, legal precedents, and contemporary forensic procedures. The findings highlight that although forensic evidence greatly increases the likelihood of correct convictions, its improper use or misinterpretation can result in false convictions. Therefore, rigorous procedural standards and ongoing scientific validation are required.
