Abstract

The Self-Reference Generation Principle posits that physical structures generatethemselves by describing themselves, and its closed-loop condition uniquely determines the fundamental parameters. This paper establishes a rigorous mathematicalfoundation for this principle, encompassing three core components: recursive algebra, self-referential functor, and fixed-point theorem. First, we construct a recursivesequence An+1 = An ⋊α Z via the crossed product of operator algebras. We provethat the limit algebra satisfies the self-referential closed loop F(A∞) A∞, and, combining Connes’ modular theory and Jones’ index theory, lock the scale factor toλ =e2π. Second, we introduce a self-referential functor in the ω-category and provethe existence of a self-referential closed loop using the final colimit, revealing theunified categorical origin of the triple structures of time, causality, and spectrum.Furthermore, we demonstrate the deep mathematical connections of the scale factorλ to the cusp behavior of modular forms and the Hausdorff dimension of fractals, thereby unifying recursive algebra, topological order, and fractal geometry withinthe same self-referential framework. Finally, we systematically elaborate on the fourmajor open problems left by this principle: the physical limits of recursion depth, the universal scaling laws of metastable phase transitions, the reconstruction mechanism after rupture, and the precise relationship between the central charge andthe scale factor. We position these problems as growth interfaces for the researchprogram. The work in this paper provides a solid mathematical foundation forthe Self-Reference Generation Principle and points the way for subsequent dynamicapplications.
