The Autonomous Stack - A Minimal Governance Topology Derived from the Seven Invariants of Persistence
Abstract
Every persistent system operates under seven structural invariants: causality, conservation, bounded influence, irreversibility at scale, identity, cost of precision, and necessity of validation. This paper derives the Autonomous Stack — the Minimal Topology Deployment Methodology (MTD) — from these invariants, showing each component is entailed rather than chosen. MTD instantiates a three-layer governance stack — Ingestion (Reverse-STP), Transport (STP/SSTP), and Generation (Internal Ear Protocol) — whose sequential dependency is architecturally strict: breaking any link corrupts the reference frame against which all downstream governance operates. The Auditor and Governor are specified as a shared service called at every decision node, not a single pipeline stage. A normative RFC and JSON schemas are provided as appendices. The axis must be clean before it is declared. It must be declared before it can be audited against. Governance is not a property of any single component. It is a property of the sequence.
