Analysis of the Patent Application 1ANM
Abstract
This article presents a structured technical analysis of the patent application “1ANM (One Arm, No Mirrors)”, which proposes a first-order (v/c) experimental method for detecting motion relative to a hypothetical preferred reference frame. The mathematical derivation of the predicted displacement is developed explicitly, and the physical assumptions required for the effect are stated in transparent form. Particular attention is given to the role of emission direction in determining whether a measurable transverse displacement arises. Two logically distinct propagation models are formulated: Medium-fixed propagation, predicting a non-zero first-order displacement. Source-determined emission, predicting a null result. The analysis demonstrates that the proposal reduces to an experimentally decidable alternative between these models. The article does not advocate a specific theoretical framework but examines the internal logical structure of the proposal and clarifies the conditions under which its prediction holds. Independent experimental realization of the apparatus is encouraged in order to provide empirical resolution.
