Abstract

This repository contains the full questionnaire and the R code used for all statistical analyses supporting the manuscript “Economic Value of Conifers May Restrain Broadleaf Expansion in Shaping Future Forest Resilience in Europe”. Together, these materials document the complete empirical workflow, from survey design to inference. The questionnaire was administered to forest professionals (including managers, planners, and advisors) in ten forest Living Labs across Europe. It was developed and implemented within the EU Horizon project eco2adapt, using a Living Lab approach to ensure strong relevance to real-world forest management and adaptation decisions. All scripts are fully reproducible and rely on openly available R packages. By providing both the questionnaire and the complete analysis code, this repository supports transparency and replicability, and enables other researchers to adapt the survey and analytical framework for comparative studies on forest adaptation and stakeholder perceptions.
