THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BPH AND UROLITHIASIS
Abstract
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or adenoma is most often diagnosed in men over 40. Statistics show that the condition affects almost half of urologists' patients under 50. In patients over 70, the incidence is even higher – more than 80–85%. These World Health Organization statistics indicate a high prevalence of the disease among the global male population. However, statistics show that almost two-thirds of men with urinary dysfunction do not seek medical attention or undergo any examination. This significantly increases the risk of serious complications, including cancer and prostatitis. Meanwhile, modern medicine offers various non-surgical treatments. Let's explore how this condition is treated and what symptoms may indicate the disease's development..
