Abstract

Input data and code for "Exploring uncertainty in energy systems: Using decision trees to assess the future role of onshore and offshore electricity storage and hydrogen infrastructure" This package contains all input data and code required to run the optimizationspresented in the paper. It also contains aggregated results. Below a short overview of the repository. - project_files contains data and scripts for pre- and postprocessing of input data- adopt_net0 contains version v0.1.4 of AdOpT-NET0- main.py is the main script to run the cost optimizations for all 2000 scenarios All main scripts rely heavily on help functions thatcan be found in project_files/utilities Aggregated results can be found in the results directory:- DataSample_main_scenarios.csv contains the sample of the 2000 main scenarios- DataSample_hydrogen_scenarios.csv contains the sample of the 500 scenarios with extreme parameter values for hydrogen storage- Summary_main_scenarios.xlsx contains the aggregated results for the 2000 main scenarios- Summary_hydrogen_storage.xlsx contains the aggregated results for the 500 scenarios with extreme parameter values for hydrogen storage+- Summary_main_scenarios_emission_reduction.xlsx contains the aggregated results for the 2000 main scenarios but with unlimited backup generation capacity and constrained emissions.- The respective .xlsx files with _recoded ending are used to construct figures.
