Kristal Nexus: Cross-Domain Research Collision Engine
Abstract
An experimental research intelligence tool that systematically discovers where two research fields collide. Nexus scans OpenAlex, arXiv, and PubMed to identify shared concepts, bridge papers, bridge researchers, collision zones, and research gaps between any two domains. It outputs a composite Nexus Score quantifying the novelty potential of each intersection. Built to make cross-domain discovery accessible to all researchers without paywalls or institutional access. Free and open-source under MIT license.
