Multi-Channel Restaurant Profitability & Cost Structure Analysis
Abstract
This research analyzes the financial performance of multi-channel restaurant operations by examining revenue mix, cost drivers, and unit economics across in-store dining, Uber Eats, DoorDash, and self-delivery channels. The study validates profit calculations, quantifies commission drag, evaluates delivery cost sensitivity, and identifies margin volatility risks across cuisine segments. An interactive Streamlit dashboard is developed to support scenario simulation and channel optimization. The findings highlight that while aggregator platforms drive volume, commission structures significantly compress margins, reinforcing the importance of a profit-first channel strategy. This work provides a decision-ready analytical framework for improving unit economics in multi-channel restaurant environments.
