Piano-Interleaved DiRAM
Abstract
This proposal introduces Piano-Interleaved DiRAM, a deterministic memoryarchitecture that:Exposes a single logical memory interface to the CPUInternalizes channel, refresh, and scheduling complexityUses Rotational Link Scheduling (RLS) combined withTemporal Role Differentiation (Black–White Interleaving)Unlike conventional multi-channel memory systems (e.g., parallel channelstacking models), the proposed architecture shifts scaling from spatialparallelism to temporal orchestration. The objective is not raw bandwidth escalation, but:Predictable latency behavior, structural simplicity, and architectural abstraction.
