Abstract

This factsheet presents a sludge–biochar soil amendment solution which enhances soil quality and crop resilience. By combining stabilised sewage sludge with biochar through a short composting phase, the approach improves soil carbon content, nutrient retention, water-holding capacity, and salinity buffering, supporting sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural production.
