Abstract

This factsheet presents roof rainwater harvesting and storage for irrigation as a decentralized water management solution within the GEORGIA project. By collecting runoff from farm buildings and greenhouses and storing it for later use, the system buffers seasonal water shortages, reduces pressure on freshwater resources, and enhances farm-level drought resilience through low-cost, scalable infrastructure.
