Abstract

Over the recent decades, IoT and Cloud server communications are attained using distributed technology with edge computing. With this, a huge amount of real-time data needs to be transferred in cloud server communications. Security is often the main concern in edge computing. There exist various security-based cryptographic algorithms for securing the data in the cloud. But still, the cloud data are not secured for a huge amount of data processing. For solving those security issues in cloud-edge computing, Blockchain-based techniques provide solutions for preserving data from various attacks that happen with the distributed network nature. Homomorphic encryption, which allows a specific operation to be performed on the encrypted data. In this chapter, we propose a Hybrid Homomorphic encryption-based HMAC (HASH BASED MESSAGE AUTHENTICATION CODE) Algorithm, which will improve data security and secrecy in cloud edge computing. The HMAC provides Client and server communicate with private key authentication. This will provide excellent resistance to cryptanalysis attempts. It will employ hashing and the RFC 2104 hashing mechanism, making it more secure than other authentication codes and security implementations for Internet protocols. It will encrypt the MD5 message-digest algorithm with the symmetric key.
