Floristic and LiDAR-based structural differentiation of extrazonal Mediterranean-type Cupressus sempervirens woodlands in northern Iran
Abstract
This repository contains the data supporting the analyses of extrazonal Mediterranean-type Cupressus sempervirens woodlands in northern Iran. Vegetation data are provided as tabular plot-based records (species composition and cover/abundance) together with plot metadata (coordinates and sampling information). Environmental predictors comprise raster layers, including (i) canopy-structure metrics derived from spaceborne GEDI LiDAR and (ii) climate variables from the CHELSA dataset. Using the accompanying code, raster values were extracted at the plot locations to generate plot-level predictor tables used in the classification and ordination analyses. Where licensing permits, derived plot-level predictor tables are included; original raster products are referenced and should be obtained from their respective sources.
