Abstract

The EOSC-ENTRUST Requirements Management Plan (RMP) defines a minimal, governance-oriented framework to manage requirements in federated Trusted Research Environments (TREs). It introduces a structured conceptual model based on Requirement → Evidence → Assessment traceability, enabling reproducible validation and audit readiness across heterogeneous infrastructures. The RMP specifies core data objects, traceability maturity levels, and supporting artefacts including structured repositories and machine-readable schemas. The approach is tool-agnostic and scalable, supporting progressive formalisation from lightweight documentation to automated validation workflows. The document is intended to promote transparency, comparability, and long-term sustainability of compliance and assurance practices within EOSC-aligned environments.
