Projective Quaternion Geometry and the Trinity Decomposition
Abstract
This paper develops a quaternionic formulation of the Trinity Geometric Model (TGM) in which time, space, and energy arise as projective decompositions of a unified geometric primitive. The Trinity components (T, S, E) are interpreted as projective coordinates derived from quaternion structure rather than independent physical variables. In this framework, a Trinity primitive is represented by a quaternion q = R u, where the invariant magnitude R = |q| defines the expansion scale and the unit quaternion u on the three-sphere (S³) defines selector configuration. The selector manifold, therefore, arises naturally as the three-sphere of unit quaternions, providing a geometric interpretation of internal degrees of freedom. Energy is interpreted geometrically as the invariant expansion rate of the quaternion magnitude, E proportional to dR/dτ, consistent with the Trinity axiom that energy characterizes the rate of spatial generation relative to invariant temporal flow. The quaternionic formulation explains the natural appearance of the selector manifold S³ and its equivalence with SU(2), reproducing the geometric and topological properties associated with spin-1/2 representations. In this interpretation, selector evolution corresponds to motion on the unit-quaternion manifold while invariant magnitude determines expansion scale. The Trinity decomposition (T, S, E) is interpreted as a system of projective coordinates derived from quaternion components rather than a set of independent physical variables. This provides a unified geometric framework in which temporal and spatial quantities appear as complementary projections of a single invariant structure. The quaternionic formulation is not proposed as a replacement for relativistic spacetime geometry, but rather as a geometric representation of the Trinity primitive, whose invariant magnitude provides an interval-like norm for a unified temporal and spatial decomposition. This work establishes a structural connection between the Trinity Geometric Model and quaternion geometry. It provides a mathematically natural representation of the Trinity primitive in terms of invariant magnitude and selector configuration. The results suggest that quaternionic structure may provide a natural geometric language for unified descriptions of temporal flow, spatial structure, and internal symmetry. This version adds a new section connecting quaternionic Trinity geometry to recent temporal interference ("double-slit in time") experiments. The new material develops an interpretation of temporal interference as a two-time selector overlap on the quaternionic selector manifold S³, providing a concrete experimental context for scalar-clock evolution.
