Abstract

The file contains calculations of the states of a system of three coupled atoms in a triangular geometry, indicating the existence of dark states in such a system. The calculations of the local density of states (LDOS) were performed within the tight-binding model and the equation of motion method for Green's function. Additionally, the possibility of the occurrence of dark states and charge waves in a linearly arranged system of atoms (in both the normal phase and the topological phase) placed on a surface was investigated. The results of the research were described in the master's thesis titled "Dark States in Atomic Systems," and they were also presented in the form of a poster at the XIII STM/AFM Seminar 2025 in Zakopane. This work was supported by National Science Centre, Poland, under Grant No 2022/45/B/ST3/01123
