Abstract

Description This repository contains the Socio-Ecological Profiles developed under Task 2.2 of the Horizon 2020 project JUSTNature. These profiles are designed to identify and visualize the spatial distribution of socio-ecological characteristics within City Practice Labs (CiPeLs), providing a foundation for addressing environmental justice and planning nature-based solutions. Included Case Studies The dataset provides detailed analysis for the following four European cities: Bolzano, Italy Chania, Greece Leuven, Belgium Szombathely, Hungary Contents of the Repository For each case study, the following resources are provided: PDF Report: A static document containing the finalized map of the identified socio-ecological profiles and a summary of their main descriptive characteristics. Interactive HTML Map: A standalone browser-based map that allows users to explore the results spatially, enabling a more granular view of the local profiles. Methodological Context The classification of these profiles follows a multi-dimensional approach integrating socio-ecological indicators. For a comprehensive explanation of the methodology, data sources, and the conceptual framework used to define these profiles, please refer to the project deliverable: Deliverable 2.2: Setting the stage for ecological and socioeconomic status & disparities profiles in the CiPeLs https://zenodo.org/records/10845144 About JUSTNature JUSTNature is an EU-funded project aiming to activate nature-based solutions for a just transition to low-carbon cities.
