Market Cycles No.1 – South China: Long Technological Cycles and Macro-Regional Economic Dynamics (2026–2040)
Abstract
This monograph analyses South China as a macro-regional industrial system embedded in long technological waves and civilisational cycles. The study examines the 2026–2040 transition period through structural analysis integrating demographic concentration, industrial upgrading, energy systems, export architecture and supply-power chains. Rather than short-term forecasting, the Market Cycles framework identifies structural constraints conditioning capital allocation, technological consolidation and geopolitical positioning. South China is examined as a production-integrated corridor within the evolving Indo-Pacific system. The publication forms part of the Market Cycles Research Program, a multi-volume comparative study of long-term macro-regional economic transformations.
