Results from the Pre-Registered Statistical Evaluation of Gradient-Determined Orb Behavior Under the SP3 Framework
Abstract
This report presents the results of the pre-registered statistical evaluation outlined in Beecham (2026) [Pre-Registered Statistical Evaluation of Gradient-Determined Orb Behavior Under the SP3 Framework, Zenodo, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18742763]. The Space-Phase (SP3) framework hypothesizes that orb-like aerial phenomena exhibit gradient-determined behaviors, specifically: (1) hovering or moving within a confined space for ≥5 seconds, (2) ≥2 orbs in coordinated formation, and (3) sustained directional movement by at least one orb. Using conservative inclusion criteria for orb cases sourced from web searches and X (Twitter) ecosystem analysis, a sample of 15 qualifying cases was evaluated. All 15 cases (100%, 95% Clopper-Pearson CI: 78.2%–100%) satisfied at least one predicted behavior, exceeding the pre-registered threshold of 80%. A one-sided binomial test rejected the null hypothesis (p ≤ 0.8) with p-value ≈ 0.035. These findings provide preliminary support for the SP3 framework's predictions without falsification.
