Abstract

Annotation Data for Alternaria atra Genomes This archive contains genome annotation data for Alternaria atra isolates from the study:“Alternaria atra from distinct ecological roles share functional genomic repertoires”by Tamara Schmey, Karen Bahar, Christopher Tominello-Ramirez, German Sepulveda Chavera, and Remco Stam Raw Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) sequencing reads and the genome assemblies for isolates T001 and T003 are deposited in the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA) under project accession PRJEB105036. In addition to these newly assembled genomes, we annotated two publicly available A. atra genomes downloaded from NCBI using the same pipeline to ensure comparability. Re-annotated public assemblies:- CS162 — NCBI accession GCA_907166805.1- MOD1FUNGI7 — NCBI accession GCA_004634305.1 All four genomes (T001, T003, CS162, and MOD1FUNGI7) were annotated using funannotate v1.8.17. This archive contains:- Genome assembly sequences in FASTA format (*.fa.gz)- Gene annotations in GFF3 format (*.gff3) While annotations for the newly assembled genomes were submitted alongside the assemblies to ENA, the re-annotations of publicly available genomes are not hosted in a central repository. In the interest of transparency, reproducibility, and open science, we provide all annotations generated in this study here. For questions regarding the dataset or annotation workflow, please contact the corresponding author Remco Stam as described in the publication.
