Critical Raw Material (CRM) Assessment
Abstract
This lesson was given in the frame of the training course organized in Milan (14-16 Dec 2025) by the EU WIDERA Project NetCastPL4.0 GA101159771. It presents an overview of the scientific methodologies currently employed to evaluate the criticality of materials. The session explores the multidimensional parameters that define the risk profile of Critical Raw Materials (CRMs), specifically analyzing the two pillars of the EU assessment: Economic Importance and Supply Risk, while evaluating potential risk mitigation strategies for companies.
