Abstract

The dataset is related to a novel Human–Robot Interface (HRI) based on 8 piezoelectric sensor signals. Experiments involving 3 types of grasps with fixed closed hand position and 3 grasping speeds. The data was collected using the Hannes hand prosthetic, where it performed an empty grasp, grasping a soft object (3D printed), and the Vernier grasp dynamometer. The grasps were repeated 5 times for each type of grasp, at each level of speed. This dataset was used to assess the human-like sensorization integrated to the Hannes prosthetic hand and it's ability to be used later on in further experiments.
