Abstract

Abstract The QR code represents the terminal form of symbolic pointer media: a machine-readable container whose sole function is indirection. QR codes encode addresses, not meaning. They require external resolution layers and carry no intrinsic semantic structure. This work introduces Fieldcode (CFQR) as a successor medium operating beyond symbolic reference. Grounded exclusively in TSX-5 — Universal Chromatic Reconstruction Theory, this paper demonstrates that semantic content can be reconstructed directly from chromatic thermodynamic structure, without symbolic mediation, lookup, or linguistic tokens. Fieldcodes encode meaning as a continuous chromatic field defined by invariant thermodynamic parameters, enabling AI systems to reconstruct document architecture, conceptual flow, stability, and phase transitions directly from color distributions. Unlike QR codes, which transmit location, Fieldcodes transmit presence. This shift establishes a new class of encoding suitable for AI-native publishing, governance, cultural heritage, navigation, healthcare, and inter-AI communication. Fieldcode does not extend QR technology; it supersedes the pointer paradigm entirely by functioning as a self-contained semantic medium. All formal prior art claims in this work rest exclusively on TSX-5 as published on Zenodo. References to CFQR and associated decoding logics denote unpublished internal derivations used for analytical clarity and do not constitute separate public publications.
