Abstract

Draft Working paper describing the Power system model developed for the RD Congo under the RE-INTEGRATE project using a combined LEAP-OSEMOSSYS-FlexTool framework. Notes for this version Timeslices: from 8 to 48 time slices representing 2 representative days: weekday and weekend. Demand side: 4 analysis Base demand projection: does not take into account energy access assumptions LA demand projection: includes Low Energy Access assumptions MA demand projection: includes Low Energy Access assumptions HA demand projection: includes Low Energy Access assumptions For all analyses, 3 simple scenarios are included LCS: Least Cost Scenario, no additional constraints above physical and resource constraints BAU: Business as Usual, includes planned projects FFF: Fossil Free Future, excludes new investment in fossil fuels
