The Lomas Framework III: Kinetic Resurrection and the Phase-Shifted Vacuum
Abstract
The mathematics of the early Lomas Framework papers is corrected in Paper 8: The Correction (available as public release Paper 8: DOI 10.5281/zenodo. 22085581). The framework's structure stands; specific early numerical claims are withdrawn, repaired, or reserved there, and one prediction is tested against 1,371 Pantheon+ supernovae and excluded in full. This paper remains the timestamped record of the framework's development. This paper is the third in the Lomas Framework series, extending Papers 1 and 2 with three primary original contributions. First, the Lomas Pressure-Phase Model formally defines the Vacuum as a low-pressure phase-state bubble manufactured by the Progenitor inside an infinite-pressure Void medium, modelling the Big Bang as the latent heat release of a first-order thermodynamic phase transition. Cosmic expansion is derived as thermodynamically spontaneous — the Vacuum phase has lower Gibbs free energy than the Void phase — eliminating the need for dark energy. Second, gravity is derived as a Void pressure gradient g = −∇P/ρ, shown to be locally equivalent to General Relativity while predicting a measurable anomalous lensing signal at cosmic void boundaries — the Pressure Wall — detectable by Euclid and DESI and with no GR analogue. Third, the Kinetic Resurrection mechanism derives relativistic ejection velocity v_eject ≥ 0.9c from the outward Guderley blast wave following phase inversion, providing a quantitative first-principles explanation for JWST observations of massive mature galaxies at z > 10. Together with Papers 1 and 2, this paper completes a thermodynamically closed, mechanically specified, and multiply-falsifiable cyclic cosmological framework.
