RELIABILITY OF PERIPHERAL DEVICES AND THE IMPORTANCE OF TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE FOR THEM
Abstract
This thesis covers the main types of peripheral devices, their technical specifications, operating principles, and modern methods of providing technical maintenance. Peripheral devices are an essential part of computer systems and include input devices (keyboard, mouse, scanner, microphone), output devices (monitor, printer, plotter), storage devices (external hard drives, flash drives), and transmission devices (modems, network cards). The work analyzes the key technical, software, operational, and personnel-related problems that arise during the process of providing technical maintenance to peripheral devices. These include issues such as paper jams in printers, ink cartridge contamination, optical system contamination in scanners, matrix problems in monitors, and oxidation of contacts in keyboards and mice. Additionally, the demand for qualified specialists in the field of peripheral device maintenance is analyzed using examples from large enterprises in the Republic of Uzbekistan, such as "Olmaliq KMK" JSC and the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Technical Assistance Center" LLC. Effective solutions to address these problems include regular preventive work, training skilled personnel, using modern diagnostic tools, and applying high-quality spare parts. The thesis is intended for specialists in the field of information technologies, system administrators, computer service engineers, and students pursuing education in this field.
