The Holographic Circlette: Part 18 — The Feshbach Mechanism, the Colour Firewall, and the Pati-Salam Identification
Abstract
Audit note. This paper predates the framework's methodology audit of 2026-05-30. The Feshbach mechanism + Colour Firewall content is structural and largely unaffected by the audit's headline retractions; the relevant scope considerations are: (i) DRIFT M9: the Koide-circulant \delta = 2/9 identification is recharacterised as transcendental \approx 2/9 rather than exact rational --- the Feshbach defect-density structure d/N on the lepton-Feshbach codespace remains the substrate mechanism, with phase appearances at L-W tier. (ii) §15 item 142: the Colour Firewall (H_{PQ} = 0 for any quark state) survives unchanged; the framework's quark-mass mechanism is anchored at §5.2 Boltzmann + §5.9 active-I_3 asymmetry, matching DGG's parameter count rather than supplying a zero-parameter quark mass derivation. (iii) §16.3: the hierarchical y_q^{\text{fund}} \sim 10^{-26} derivation depends on the substrate's v Mass generation emerges from Feshbach projection through the R4-forbidden nu_R channel. A Colour Firewall Theorem proves no path connects quarks to nu_R. The characteristic polynomial shifts from the golden ratio to the silver ratio (the 4.8.8 octagon eigenvalue). The hierarchy problem is dissolved by ~10^{-26} suppression behind the colour firewall. Rules R1-R4 map to the Pati-Salam breaking chain.
