Emergent Time: Hierarchy, Correlations, and Multiverses
Abstract
Time has long been considered a fundamental, universal entity. This synthesis explores the idea that time may be an emergent property, arising from correlations between events and quantum information at different scales: quantum, thermodynamic, and cosmological. We present the theoretical foundations (general relativity, quantum mechanics, quantum gravity), key experiments (atomic clocks, entanglement, GPS, cosmological observations), and a speculative hypothesis linking these scales through a global information network and correlated multiverses. The document proposes a unified conceptual framework, integrating the interactions between temporal layers, the emergence of the arrow of time, and the role of quantum correlations and entropy.
