A Rationale for a Non-Zero Correction Term in the Fundamental Centripetal Force Equation
Abstract
The standard Newtonian formulation for centripetal force (F = \frac{mv^2}{R}) is based on the assumption of a closed, geometric circle. This paper introduces a necessary physical modification based on a recently proposed rotational audit, identifying a 40.5 km non-closure discrepancy (the "Seam") arising from the Earth's movement through the galactic frame. By integrating this spatial gap, defined as $\delta$, into the denominator of the force equation, we present a new predictive model: F = \frac{mv^2}{R + \delta}. A comparative calculation using terrestrial orbital data demonstrates that this modified formula predicts a $0.63\%$ difference in force compared to established gravitational models.
