This dataset contains de-identified participant-level data from a 24-week parallel-group randomized controlled trial evaluating functional dietary fiber supplementation combined with home-based moderate-intensity exercise in sedentary urban adults, corresponding to the article “Effects of functional dietary fiber supplementation combined with home-based exercise on gut microbiota diversity and low-grade inflammation in urban sedentary adults” (Frontiers in Nutrition)
