GEOLOGICAL CONDITION OF THE RIVERS IN ONE OF THE DISTRICTS OF THE VORONEZH REGION: THE HISTORY OF THE ISSUE
Abstract
This article examines human anthropogenic and economic activity, as well as its impact on the environment, which significantly increases the likelihood of crisis situations caused by natural factors, man-made disasters, and environmental and hydrological incidents. The complexity of hydrological systems requires professional water resource management at the regional level in specific territorial conditions, based on general water use management rules and the specific natural diversity of watercourses. Based on the authors' research, they highlight the anthropogenic impact on the main rivers of the Voronezh Region, located in the Oka-Don natural-geographic zone and the Podgorinsky hydrological region. They analyze the ecological characteristics of the Osered (formerly Osered), Gavrilo, Manina, Mamonovka, and Bogucharka rivers. The authors believe it is important to focus on their key characteristics and the factors influencing their development when examining this topic.
