Abstract
Custom code used to study the origin and evolution of seasonal color polymorphism in least weasels (Mustela nivalis). Analyses based on phenotypic data and targeted-capture genomic data. All code was used for the analyses of the following research paper: Miranda I, et al. (2026). Balanced polymorphism underlies adaptation for seasonal camouflage in the least weasel. Communications Biology 9:769. https://doi.org/10.1038/s42003-026-09937-9. Further details on the context of the code and files are provided in the original manuscript. Input files to run these scripts and further details on their usage are provided in an associated Figshare repository: Miranda I, et al. (2026). Data from "Balanced polymorphism underlies long-standing adaptation for seasonal camouflage in the least weasel". figshare. Dataset. https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.28124177.
