De theocratische God in staat van veroordeling de rechtszaak na Auschwitz gaat voort
Abstract
The chayav verdict from the Auschwitz barracks marks a theological ground zero, rendering classical theodicy untenable. Structured as a theo-juridical trial, this article analyses post-Auschwitz responses (Rubenstein, Fackenheim, Wiesel, Blumenthal, Jonas, Moltmann, Metz, Pollefeyt) and positions ambitheism relative to Blumenthal's protest theology. Where Blumenthal identifies divine abuse existentially, ambitheism formalises the indictment employing Jesus' philosophy — neighbour love, nonviolence, the Golden Rule, the victim's perspective — as normative criterion above the theocratic God-image. Biblical texts serve as evidence of God's structural ambivalence. The final verdict confirms chayav and transforms religious praxis from theocratic expectation to ceremonial God-conception.
