Abstract

Recent JWST discoveries of high-redshift galaxies hosting massive black holes have intensified interest in seed black hole formation, particularly the debate between light seeds from Population III stars and heavy seeds from direct collapse. The detection of compact, high-redshift "little red dots" lends support to the heavy seed scenario, but testing these models requires identifying relic IMBHs that have experienced minimal growth. The Intermediate-Mass Black Hole Reverberation Mapping Project aims to confirm the IMBH nature ($
