Phenomenological Alcubierre–Kuramoto Correspondence: Aperiodic Phase Modulation as a Spectral-Smearing Stabiliser for Warp-Bubble Boundaries
Abstract
Paper 13 in The Geometry of the Critical Line programme. We construct a phenomenological fluid model for Alcubierre warp-bubble boundary dynamics via the viscous Burgers equation and Hopf–Cole transformation, connecting boundary shock formation to the Kuramoto–Sivashinsky equation. By analogy with the computational result of Paper 11 (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18802023) — that aperiodic spatial phase offsets suppress lock-in in forced Kuramoto networks by 80–100 percentage points — and the exact dynamical bridge of Paper 12 (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18807148) — that tearing-mode torque balance is the Adler equation — we conjecture that aperiodic spatial structure in the warp-field drive can regularise the boundary singularity into a bounded turbulent state. The conjecture is falsifiable via numerical simulation of the forced KS equation. This is the most speculative paper in the series; every modeling choice is explicitly labeled.
