TARE Model: Tradeoff Analysis of Residential Energy
Abstract
The TARE Model estimates the private economic payback and electricity demand impacts of residential heat-pump electrification across U.S. counties. Version 3.1.0 supports the techno-economic adoption potential and grid impact analysis on ResStock 2022.1.1 representative dwelling units, for a standard and a high-efficiency air-source heat pump (measure packages 3 and 4). It also runs the ResStock 2025.1 dual-fuel heat pump package (measure package 5), whose results are preliminary until further code updates, including the grid impact analysis. The input data are in Zenodo record 10.5281/zenodo.23460993.
